Lambs

A fine dish of chops from Finland. Steamrolling through this 15-song offering with a dirty, full-throttle approach owing as much to rudimentary metal acts like Venom as it does to punk and garage rock, Finland's Lambs could be likened to a more melodic Entombed. Rooted as much in Overkill-era Motorhead as it is in the Misfits, Lambs' biker-rock roar is, thankfully, tempered by the band's inherent tunefulness. It would be simple to group the Lambs with the multitude of other Scandinavian rock acts - Hellacopters, Gluecifer, Puffball - but at the end of the day, Lambs would be the only ones not copping the mannerisms cliches of '70s rock.
